HeraldNet: What?s worth eating at the Evergreen State Fair?

A couple of highlights from the HeraldNet article:

"7. Krispy Kreme chicken sandwich ($4.75): In this competitively priced novelty sandwich, a fried chicken patty is surrounded by a brand-name jelly doughnut, sliced in half. If that weren’t sweet enough, it comes with a honey packet.

Biting into this, I realized how very similar a fast food bun is to a doughnut. Though the flavors actually work well together, this overwhelmingly sweet dish is best shared unless it’s the only thing you plan to eat."

And:

"10. Chocolate-covered bacon ($4): Served in a miniature Chinese food takeout container, this treat had robust bacon flavor. Its chocolate coating, however, tasted more like wax than cacao. According to my husband: “The public needs to know that the bacon tastes like makeup.” You eat this dish so you can check it off your life list."
