Friday Night Pizza
Last night I experimented with my thin crust dough, putting in about two to three Tbsp. of freshly ground quinoa, and a Tbsp. of ground flax seed as well. It was interesting, but maybe a bit too much. I would cut those amounts in half next time. Mind you, this was for four pizza's worth of dough. The one I liked best with this "enhanced" dough was the pizza I topped with sauteed onions, olives, slivered almonds and feta cheese. (I also grated some parmesan over the top as well.) It was quite good. Definitely one worth repeating.

Fantabulous Sourdough Biscuits and Homemade Split Pea Soup (a Photo)
Made these last weekend, and they were soo good~
DH's sourdough biscuits, and my homemade split pea soup.
What I Did Last Night
Farmland Flax Cookies with agave instead of sugar, and Oatmeal Whole Wheat Bread
Flax Seed Oatmeal Cookies
When I was at one of our latest poetry workshops, our poet hostess made us some ginger flax cookies, and they were most excellent. So, I went in search of flax seed cookie recipes, and found one called Farmland Flax Cookies. They are really good, and two of those little buggers kept me going through one weight-training class, and a half hour of cardio after that. Not bad!
(Note- I put a cut piece of ginger in the middle of some of my cookies, as shown above.)
So, I decided to make them again last night, this time substituting the sugar with agave syrup, and the results were tasty. I'm going to keep playing with them, and share the recipe soon.
Meanwhile, this is how they turned out:
Also, here is a link to the original recipe I used (for the first two photos):

dinner for the King
This is very cool.
This photographer tells us:
"made just for Martin Luther King.
Every year we celebrate M.L.K. ; not only for not what he has done for us,but in memory of what we have achieved.
Every year I make a special dinner to just CELEBRATE him!
This year I made pork ribs which were divine, with french green beans and lightly buttered sweet potatoes...
I think He would approve."
